After owning so many Chrome Hearts items, real and fake, I can say its pretty confusing for consumers to identify the authenticity of each Chrome Hearts purchased. Now the fakes are doing a pretty good job in copying. And unless you have a trained eye, its pretty hard for anyone to identify who is wearing fake Chrome Hearts merchandises. Recently I have purchased a few Chrome Hearts rings and clothing from online and then realized its fake, but it looks so real. So I would like to share my experience with all the avid Chrome Hearts fan out there.

Now here is a test for you Chrome Hearts junkie fans. I have here two version of Chrome Hearts Black Cross Singlet. Both same size and same design. See if you have the eye for real goodies!

Chrome Hearts Singlet A ( Left shorter piece)
The left one is slightly shorter (Still pretty long in my opinion), fitting, material is thick. Its thread linings are sewed together using white treads.
Chrome Hearts Singlet B (Right longer piece)
The right one is long all the way to hip level. and significant longer than the left one. Its material is thinner and slightly more elastic. The inner linings are sewed in black threads.

Just by looking at these facts, are you able to find out which Chrome Hearts Singlet is real?

If you think the Chrome Hearts Singlet on the left is real. You are right. It is an old version of Chrome Hearts singlet.
And the left one must be a fake......
No its not. Its a newer version. I bought both pieces of singlet from Hong Kong Chrome Hearts retail shop. It was both displayed in the shop and I asked the attendant whats the difference since both are exactly the same design. She secretly tells me that they are clearing stocks, its alright since both are real.
So there you have it. Its pretty hard to identify on the go. If you have any friends who is wearing a slightly different version, yet same design Chrome Hearts, do not immediately jump to conclusion that his/hers a fake. because Chrome Hearts do have many different versions in different times.

ReplyDeleteAs far as I know. Chrome Hearts do not sell their items online. I have asked and confirmed with the shop attendants in Hong Kong Chrome Hearts Shop. So whatever site you see online selling Chrome hearts most likely is fake. I do shop for fake once a while to see the differences. If you are willing to share some pics of your items purchased, that will be great.

ReplyDeleteI tried buying Sterling 925 silver Chrome hearts jewelries from rakuten once. It looks pretty decent and thus i went further to purchase some Chrome Hearts singlets. It turned out to be terribly fake.
ReplyDeleteSo I conclude, there are a lot of EVIL sellers in Rakuten (My humble bias opinion :P), but some few good sellers that can pass the quality benchmark as well. You just got to try to find them. Let me know if you need any help.

ReplyDeleteIt was a bad experience no doubt. but at least now i know how to identify the real deal and where to get those. If you want to be safe, go to their boutique. costly but its worth it. I have a few Singaporean friends who sibei sound like you, :P

ReplyDeleteA shop selling auth and fake CH stuff? Almost cannot believe. Thanks for posting this. A think it's easy to check which is the auth. CH uses thick jersey fabric, and the patterns are good, well done, The pattern of the right one is too straight, no curves on the armpits... a cheap t-shirt.

ReplyDeletei'm looking into "Chrome Hearts Crosses Stacked Spinner" ring and "Chrome Hearts Scroll" ring. I actually purchased the scroll ring on ebay. The seller has a reasonable "orig price" stated but no receipt or tag that he/she can show me.
